Short for Regional Bell Operating Company.
The regional phone companies resulting from the breakup of
AT&T. Example: BellSouth is a RBOC. |

RES |
Short for residential.
Used
on reports and forms to denote
residential deliveries. |

Rescope |
The process of changing the delivery area
for a directory. |

Route Number |
1) An ID assigned to a particular
initial delivery route or
delivery zone by a publisher or delivery vendor. 2) U.S. Postal Service Carrier Route ID. |

Route sheets
provide carriers with a list of address ranges within their
delivery zone. |

Route Sheet |
An alphabetized list of all the streets and
address ranges in
a route or delivery zone. Similar to a
code book except more
narrow in scope (individual route level rather than entire
delivery market). |
