Because a
picture is worth a thousand words. And a thousand books. |
 |
Sometimes "grid" zones may appear
oddly shaped (left) but the reasons
are often clearly obvious when looking at the topology
and other natural or man-made landmarks. |
| PictureRoute data,
reports, and forms can be transmitted in any
combination of formats and media: from web sites,
FTP, email, electronic media (CD, DVD), or hardcopy. |
 |
 |
Any forms or reports
currently in use can be replicated within the
PictureRoute
system. Delivery worker maps, route sheets, and any
other reports or forms can be customized for each
publisher - or even on a job by job basis. Add
special instructions, publisher or delivery company
logos, or customized sorting. Related supplies such
as mailing labels,
envelopes, carrier contracts, and directory bags are also available. |
|
Is grid routing perfect?
No.
|
|
No system is perfect. All
systems rely upon an army of
people to collect and process
enormous amounts of
time-sensitive data. Anything on
that scale will have errors. The
difference is that, with grid
systems, the errors are usually
just that...data errors.
|
|
With address and address-range
based systems such as postal
mail carrier routes, you have
those same data errors (actually
more) but you also have a
fundamentally flawed system from
both technical and human
behavioral perspectives. |
