ADM |
Advertiser proof-of-delivery
receipts serve a number of important functions. They
help delivery managers confirm that all advertisers
received books. They help resolve complaints or
non-payment of ads based on claims of poor distribution.
Often, an advertiser will report that they didn't
receive books when, in fact, someone within the
advertiser's organization received the books but
subsequently misplaced them.
As an extra precaution, all
advertiser deliveries should also be confirmed by phone.
This will prevent delivery workers from forging
advertiser delivery receipts.

TIPS:
Advertiser
signature sheets
serve a number of important functions. They help delivery
managers confirm that all advertisers received books and
they help resolve collection problems based on claims of
poor distribution. Advertisers
sometimes report not receiving books when, in fact,
someone within the advertiser's organization received the
books but subsequently misplaced them. The signature sheets
help track down the misplaced books. |
|
Alias |
An alternative name.
Example: "JFK Blvd" for "John F. Kennedy Blvd." |
|
Alias Dictionary |
A computer file
consisting of a collection of alternative names used to
improve address quality. An alias dictionary, for example,
would be used to replace the word "Parkway" in an address
with the USPS preferred abbreviation "PKWY." "MLK Blvd"
would be expanded to "Martin Luther King Blvd." Name and
address standardization facilitates automation and sorting. |
